The Buddhist Retreat Center in Stupkalnis is the most important Diamond Way Center of the Karma Kagyu Lineage in Lithuania and the largest international retreat center in the Baltic countries, which connects Diamond Way Buddhism in the Baltic States: Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Belarus, Kaliningrad and the Neighboring countries.
The Diamond Way Buddhists bought a piece of stupcal land in 1997. The Sangha has been organizing international Buddhist courses here since 1998. Today, summer courses take place every year in the Stupkalnis Retreat Center, often in the main building with a meditation room for around 200 people. In addition, three huts are available for Buddhist retreats for Diamond Way friends.
