An Indian Prince in Hamburg

More than 50 works of art from the Indian culture allowed a vivid experience of the life story of the historical Buddha Siddhartha Gautama. The exhibition about the great events of Buddha’s life and his way to enlightenment was a project of the India week Hamburg supported by the Diamond Way Buddhism Foundation. A guided tour in the Buddhist Center meditation hall gave insight to the extraordinary life of the Buddha and the development of Buddhism. Many of the exhibits are normally not publicly accessible. The statues and scroll paintings carry a profound symbolism which goes beyond the purely artistic perspective. They show the viewer the unlimited possibilities of his own mind.
