Regensburg 2017

The 30th exhibition actively supported by the Diamond Way Buddhism Foundation was shown in October 2017 in the south German city of Regensburg. For one month, the medieval Salzstadel—recognized as World Cultural Heritage—became the setting for unique works of art from the Himalayas. The more than 100 statues, paintings, and ritual objects exhibited were not just works of art from the past but also support practitioners in their daily meditation until today. They represent Buddha aspects and carry a deep symbolism that goes far beyond their purely artistic value.

The exhibition offered a diverse programme for school classes and families that inspired many national and international visitors.

The exhibition formed part of Regensburg’s cultural theme of the year, “City and Faith”, and was partly sponsored by the city of Regensburg.
