Buddha in the Europa-Passage

Buddha spent a visit in the 'Europa-Passage' in Hamburg! In September 2008, the foundation supported a highly attended exhibition in public space. On five stories of the shopping mall more than 70 buddha statues and scroll paintings (Tib. thangkas) were presented. For the first time, selected stupa models were shown which on the one hand gave an impression how far Buddhism is spread around the world and on the other hand depicted a set of the eight kinds of stupas representing the Great Events of Buddha’s life. The exhibition at this extraordinary venue was a huge success and aroused a lot of positive resonance both in the population and in the media.
